Man pleads no contest to involuntary manslaughter in Pioneer Dr stabbing

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A plea agreement was reached Thursday in the case of three family members charged in connection with a deadly stabbing.

Matthew Chavez, 36, pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter in exchange for the dismissal of a murder charge, according to court records.
