BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two men accused of chasing a vehicle that flew onto Highway 99 and crashed, killing two sisters who had been delivering newspapers, had their trial date moved back to June 29 at the request of defense counsel.
A new trial date of June 29 was set during a hearing Friday in the case against Tevin Brandt and Gustavo Montoya.
Brandt is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, and Montoya is facing two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. Both also face other charges…
