Kern judge orders State Road murder case to trial; 2 held to answer

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A Kern County judge ruled on Thursday that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial in the murder case of 62-year-old Roxanna Jo Kelley, the Kern County court website shows. Daniel Graham and Misha Allen are held to answer for the murder of Kelley in August 2025.

Graham faces charges of murder along with enhancements for murder during a robbery and burglary, according to the Kern County court website. Allen also faces murder.

According to court documents, Kelley was strangled with a rope and then burned inside her mobile home on State Road last August.

At around 2 a.m. on August 8, 2025, Kern County firefighters discovered Kelley, severely burned, lying on her stomach in a back room of her mobile home in the 6000 block of State Road, per court documents. That discovery led to Kern County deputies’ investigation, which resulted in the arrests of Graham and Allen on August 18, 2025.
