On March 26, 2026, around 9:51 p.m., a San Mateo police officer stopped a car near S. Norfolk Street and Fashion Island Boulevard for a suspended registration. The car was driven by Alvaro Ramos, age 47, with passenger Luis Luque, age 45, both from Bakersfield.
Officers saw suspected methamphetamine inside the car and searched it. They found more drugs, ammunition, a stolen driver’s license and credit cards, and drug paraphernalia. Ramos and Luque, who both had prior drug offenses, were arrested and taken to the San Mateo County Jail.
