‘They’re the movement’: Farmworker’s Day in Kern County puts focus back on those doing the work today

LAMONT, Calif. (KGET) — For 25 years, March 31, honored the farmworkers movement that began in Kern County decades ago, referred to simply as Cesar Chavez Day.

Now that statewide holiday bears a new name: Farmworkers Day.
