BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Work has begun to remodel a former CVS location in southwest Bakersfield for a liquor retailer entering the space.
Total Wine & More will take over the former location of CVS at the Town & Country Village on Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road, according to signage on the door.

Construction workers were seen working inside the location. 17 News has reached out to Total Wine & More for more details on the new store, including an opening date.
The CVS location closed in 2023 as part of a restructuring of the company that closed hundreds of stores across the country.
