BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A fire to a semi-truck is causing delays to drivers along I-5 south of Bakersfield on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident was reported to the California Highway Patrol at around 4:39 p.m. in northbound lanes of I-5 just north of Grapevine Road, according to the agency’s Traffic Incident Information Page. A tire on the truck’s trailer was reportedly on fire and spread to the engulf the entire trailer.

The truck’s driver was able to pull off the side of the road. A Caltrans camera showed a backup along northbound lanes.
