BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Downtown Elementary was under a brief lockdown Monday morning following a threat call made to the school, according to school officials.
The Downtown campus received a call from someone using a blocked number at around 10:45 a.m., who threatened harm to the school, according to a letter sent out to the community by Principal Lynn McEntire.
School staff immediately enacted all safety protocols and placed the school on lockdown, the letter said.
