Tom Clark, lovable leader in global water management, added to Oildale’s Wall of Fame

OILDALE, Calif. (KGET) — The first three members of the Oildale Wall of Fame were all entertainers, in one sense or another: Country music singers Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, followed by champion NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick.

Inductee No. 4? An entertainer as well, in a manner of speaking.

Tom Clark was the general manager of the Kern County Water Agency for 15 years. He was instrumental in establishing Kern County as a global leader in water management, with projects such as the Pioneer Groundwater Banking Project as well as the Kern Water Bank, which is the largest water banking project in the world…
