BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — A rare opportunity for Baltimore sports fans to watch both of their teams in person on the same day could recreate a traffic and parking nightmare that stranded drivers on streets surrounding the stadiums a few years ago.
The Ravens play their home opener at 1 p.m. on Sept. 20 against the New Orleans Saints. Six hours later, the Orioles will host the Milwaukee Brewers in a nationally televised game with first pitch scheduled for 7:20 p.m.
The teams said they are working with the Maryland Stadium Authority to determine how to avoid the traffic gridlock and overbooked lots that occurred the last time Camden Yards Sports Complex was double-booked, but the MSA, Ravens and Orioles all declined to answer questions about how the decision was made for the teams to play on the same day or provide any specific plans for handling the congestion…
