Maryland SHA to replace guardrail, resurface westbound I-695 in Baltimore County

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD (WBFF) — Drivers on the Baltimore Beltway in Pikesville should plan for significant lane closures starting Sunday night as crews replace guardrail and resurface pavement on westbound I-695.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will upgrade sections of guardrail and resurface pavement on the right side of westbound (outer loop) I-695 between the MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) and I-795 (Northwest Expressway) interchanges beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 28.

The work will require a continuous closure of the right lane and right auxiliary lane through 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, weather permitting. The agency said crews will begin the lane closures at 7 p.m. Sunday, and they will be in effect for 34 hours, with lanes expected to reopen by 9 a.m. Tuesday…
