ROSEDALE, Md. — An 11-year-old Baltimore County boy has become the 34th angler—and only the fifth youth—to earn Maryland’s highest recreational fishing honor, state officials announced this week.
Talan Scott Vrabic, of Rosedale, earned the Master Angler Milestone Award from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources after catching 10 different species of trophy-sized fish across the state. He is one of only two 11-year-olds to achieve the distinction under the state’s FishMaryland program.
Vrabic completed the feat alongside his father, Raymond Brown, who has taken him on fishing trips since Vrabic was 5 months old.
