ESSEX, Md. — Emergency crews responded Tuesday afternoon to an outer loop stretch of Interstate 695 in Essex after a dump truck overturned and went down an embankment, briefly trapping the driver inside.
First responders arrived on the scene just prior to Route 702 around 2:15 p.m. following reports of the crash. Firefighters immediately initiated rescue operations and successfully extricated the trapped occupant shortly thereafter.
Traffic was delayed along the outer loop as emergency personnel secured the scene and worked to clear the wreckage. The outer loop of I-695 remains shut down at this time…
