Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has not lost his confidence despite a disastrous set of errors during Sunday’s AFC Championship.

Flowers was defiant on Monday, one day after his costly fumble played a key role in the Ravens’ 17-10 loss to Kansas City. The rookie wide receiver did not shy away from his mistakes, saying he planned to use them as a “slingshot” to become an elite wide receiver within the NFL.

“I feel like I’ve got another step. I feel like I could be one of the best receivers in this league,” Flowers told reporters. “I’m not going to let one moment define me. I’m just going to use that as a slingshot.”

Flowers cost the Ravens with a bad taunting penalty before his crucial goal line fumble , then hurt his hand in frustration at the end of the drive. Obviously, the Ravens will want to see more maturity out of him so he can handle such situations better in the future.
