Jadeveon Clowney sends a strong message to Lamar Jackson after Ravens’ AFC title game exit

Lamar Jackson has garnered much scrutiny since the Baltimore Ravens crashed out in the AFC title game at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jackson had a game to forget against the Chiefs. From his two turnovers to sluggish play in the second half, Jackson failed to get much going in what was billed as the biggest game of his career.

Multiple Ravens players have since come to the defense of Jackson’s performance against Kansas City. Jadeveon Clowney was the latest to back Jackson, and he had a message for him on Monday.

“I’d just tell him to keep God first and continue to do what he does and be him,” Clowney said. “A different guy, but he practiced hard, he’s a leader regardless of what anyone thinks. Fun, a good personality. I love to be around him. Everybody in the locker room can vouch for that, we love to be around the guy.

“He’s just fun. … I love him regardless of how that game shook out.”

Even with his forgettable outing in the AFC title game, one can not overlook his standout 2023 campaign. Jackson tallied 29 total touchdowns over 16 regular season games played, and he upped his game in multiple primetime contests.
