Howard County leaders on Monday shared an update on several indicted gang members who were running a drug operation for years in parts of Columbia. County State’s Attorney Rich Gibson said eight members of the so-called “59 Hoover” gang, who were indicted on various crimes two years ago, have all been convicted. The leader of the gang, Jeremi Lewis, who shot and killed a 21-year old man near a gas station three years ago, is facing life without parole plus 100 years at sentencing.
