Maryland man sentenced to over six years in prison for laundering more than $1.8 million in drug proceeds

BALTIMORE, MD-A Maryland man has been sentenced to six years and three months in federal prison for laundering more than $1.8 million in drug money for a Mexican cartel. The sentence, announced by U.S. Attorney Erek L. Barron, was the result of a guilty plea by 46-year-old Gerrod Davis, of Glen Burnie, who was convicted of laundering money as part of a drug trafficking organization.
