Baltimore weather: 1.6K without power after Saturday storms; more likely on way

About 1,600 Marylanders are without power as of Sunday morning, according to Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., following a severe thunderstorm Saturday night. More precipitation and storms are expected into Tuesday.

The National Weather Service began issuing thunderstorm warnings and related alerts around 3:30 p.m. Saturday and continued throughout the evening. The majority of Harford, Frederick, Carroll and Baltimore counties were impacted by the storm, along with some areas of Cecil County.
