Teen girl assaulted and robbed in East Baltimore, crime caught on camera

A 16-year-old girl was assaulted and robbed Thursday night while walking on Holly Cross Lane, a side street near Harford Road in east Baltimore, police said. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. when the girl was confronted by two individuals, initially identified as male juveniles, one wearing all black with a ski mask and the other in a gray hoodie and black sweatpants.

Surveillance cameras from a nearby building captured the moment the suspects approached the victim. One of the suspects struck the girl and announced a robbery, possibly indicating he had a gun by pointing to his waistband, the girl told police. The suspects took the victim’s cell phone and a pair of shoes.

The victim ran to a nearby Marathon gas station at Harford Road and Bonaparte looking for help. Medics treated her for a minor head injury…
