A Baltimore man has been sentenced to eight years and one month of federal prison for his role in an attempted armed robbery of a family-owned restaurant which resulted in the death of his co-conspirator, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland announced on Friday.
23-year-old Malik Thompson and two co-conspirators targeted employees of a family-owned restaurant. They soon learned that the employees would regularly transport cash to their residence in North Baltimore so, instead of robbing the restaurant, the conspirators planned to ambush the family home, according to officials.
