Baltimore neighborhood plagued by escalating house parties and violence

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Callaway-Garrison community, once known for its tranquility, is now grappling with a series of disruptive house parties that have escalated into violence. Residents say the disturbances began a year ago when a new owner purchased a house in the neighborhood.

“It pretty much happened Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” said one resident, who wished to remain anonymous. “I think as a homeowner you have a right to peace.”

The situation took a turn for the worse on June 7, when police were called to the 3900 block of Belle Avenue for reports of a common assault and an armed person.
