An Owings Mills couple has been sentenced for their involvement in a $20 million insurance fraud scheme, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office for the District of Maryland.
William Wilson Jr., 78, and Maureen Ann Wilson, 77, conspired to defraud life insurance companies by obtaining over 40 life insurance policies through misrepresentation of applicants’ health, wealth, and existing coverage. These policies resulted in death benefits exceeding $20 million, officials said.
