Helicopter Crew Makes Dramatic Landing At City Pool To Rescue Drowning Victim In Baltimore

The Baltimore Police Department has shared dramatic video of a helicopter crew landing near a closed city pool to rescue a drowning victim over the weekend.

On July 26, a 911 caller reported a 25-year-old man was drowning at the Walter P. Carter Aquatic Center on the 800 block of East 43rd Street. Flight Officer Craig Hoover and Tactical Flight Officer Andre Smith were in a helicopter nearby when the call came in, and diverted to the scene.
