Maryland DNR said fish native to Texas, Gulf States found in Bush River

HARFORD COUNTY, MD. (WBFF) — The Maryland Department of Nature Resources Fisheries said that two bow fishermen shot a fish that is normally found in Texas and the Gulf States.

According to the Maryland DNR Fisheries Facebook post, the bow fisherman were on the Bush River when they shot an alligator gar.

Officials said that alligator gar are native to Texas and the southern Gulf States and can grow as large as 10 feet long and weigh 350 pounds…
