Residents of Fed Hill demand action amid crime surge

At the Mystique Brewery and Kitchen, Fed Hill residents gathered to voice their frustrations over rising crime in their community. The meeting, described as a “grassroots effort,” aimed to send a clear message to city leaders: “Enough is enough. We’ve had it, we’re done.”

The gathering followed a recent juvenile crime spree that resulted in over 30 vehicles being vandalized. Additionally, Moo Moo Cows was vandalized for the second time in less than two weeks. “How many people are concerned about quality of life. All of us,” said one attendee.

The timing of the meeting coincided with the mayor’s appearance on CNN, where he highlighted a reduction in homicides and improved safety in Baltimore. However, long-time Fed Hill resident Sandra Seward expressed her disagreement, saying, “I do not feel safe.” She added, “If I hear one more time about our lower homicide rate, when we’re still the 4th most dangerous city in the country.”…
