In the pre-dawn quiet of Southeast Baltimore, gunfire disrupted the stillness, leading to an urgent response from local law enforcement on South Conkling Street; at 3:28 a.m. yesterday, a shooting incident left one man wounded and prompted a search for clues and the perpetrator. According to a report by the Baltimore Police Department, officers arrived at the scene following reports of shots fired and shortly after were notified of a shooting victim at an area hospital.
The victim, 42, was suffering from injury by bullet wounds to his leg and back, but is now considered stable. He relayed to officers that his wounds were sustained in the 200 block of South Conkling Street, after which he managed to drive himself to receive medical attention.
