WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Shoppers Food announced it will close four Maryland locations on or before Oct. 11 as part of a broader effort to streamline operations.
The stores that are set to close are:
- 1200 Eastern Blvd., Essex
- 7790 Riverdale Rd., New Carrollton
- 1170 W. Smallwood Drive, Waldorf
- 551 Jermor Lane, Westminister
According to United Natural Food Inc., a wholesaler for the grocery store chain, it continually reviews its footprint to make sure stores are opening effectively and efficiently, which can include both new investments and closures.
