Baltimore Police investigating two crimes in the downtown Inner Harbor area

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Early Sunday morning, downtown Baltimore was rocked by gunfire as police responded to reports of shots fired on East Pratt Street. Authorities discovered an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his right arm and shoulder area.

Just hours earlier, and mere yards away, a 17-year-old male was assaulted inside the Harbor Place Pavilion. According to police, the incident involved a group of individuals, one of whom was armed. Baltimore Police later classified the incident as an unarmed robbery.

Jason Johnson, former deputy commissioner for the Baltimore Police Department, commented on the city’s ongoing crime issues. “It seems a lot of the crime problems that persist in Baltimore really have to do with young people,” he said.
