Baltimore murder suspect re-arrested in North Carolina after administrative lapse forced his release

Baltimore police said a man who was being held on a murder charge but was released was taken back into custody this weekend in North Carolina after authorities explained that Maryland officials failed to file for the suspect’s extradition in time.

Baltimore police said Charles Anthony Boatwright, 56, was re-arrested Saturday in Charlotte following his release from jail on Wednesday.
