Man shot in the thigh after overnight gunfire sets off ShotSpotter in East Baltimore

Baltimore, MD – A 40-year-old man was rushed to the hospital early Monday after a burst of gunfire triggered a ShotSpotter alert in East Baltimore, prompting a fast police response to a residential block just before dawn.

Around 3:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Ensor Street following the activation of the city’s gunshot detection system.
