BALTIMORE, Md. – For the seventh consecutive year, the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration will honor all U.S. military veterans, active-duty military, and members of the National Guard and Reserves with free transit rides on Tuesday, November 11.
Regular schedules will be in effect and free rides will be available across the agency’s Local Bus, Metro Subway, Light Rail, MARC Train and Mobility services. Commuter Bus will only operate the 201 bus on an “S” schedule Veterans Day.
“Veterans and service members are an important part of our community,” said Maryland Transit Administrator Holly Arnold. “Offering complimentary transit trips is one way we can show our appreciation and make it easier for them to get where they need to go on this special day.”…
