Authorities discovered a human trafficking victim in a York County home earlier this month. On November 4, Maryland State Police, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, located the victim in Hanover, Pennsylvania, alongside Deion Taurence Philip, a 32-year-old New York resident. Philip was taken into custody without incident. Two days later, police arrested 57-year-old Antoine Miles from Maryland at an airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for his alleged involvement in the trafficking operation. Both men face charges of sex trafficking of a minor and other related offenses.
The investigation began in September 2025 when Maryland State Police, working with the Baltimore County Police Department Vice/Narcotics Unit and the FBI, identified a critically missing juvenile being advertised online for sexual acts. The girl was rescued from a hotel in Towson, Maryland. Investigators believe that Philip and Miles may have trafficked additional victims and urge anyone with information to contact authorities at 410-694-4700. According to Maryland State Police, all calls will remain confidential.
Amanda Rodriguez, CEO of the victim-advocacy group TurnAround, highlighted the dangers of trafficking in hotels, stating, “These children are put in extreme danger if they’re being trafficked in an area, especially something that’s hidden like a hotel where things can happen behind a door.” The organization is addressing the crisis in Baltimore County, which has seen numerous cases originating from the Towson area…
