Baltimore woman sentenced to three years in prison for multi-million dollar COVID-19 relief and wire fraud scheme

BALTIMORE, MD—A Baltimore woman, Lakeisha Parker, 33, has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for her role in a large-scale conspiracy involving money laundering and wire fraud, including the fraudulent acquisition of COVID-19 relief funds.

U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Maddox handed down the sentence on Monday, November 17, 2025, which will be followed by three years of supervised release, including six months of home detention. Judge Maddox also ordered Parker to pay more than $8 million in restitution to the victims of the scheme.
