Thanksgiving Day Closures: No Trash or Recycling Collection for Baltimore Residents on November 27

The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) will close all offices and sanitation yards on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025. Director Matthew Garbark stated that there will be no trash or recycling collection and no street sweeping on that day. Make-up collection is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2025. The closures affect the Northwest Transfer Station, Quarantine Road Landfill, and several residential recycling centers in the city.

The Baltimore 311 call center will remain open on Thanksgiving and other city holidays. It will operate from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
