Edgewood Motel Arrest: Woman Accused of Stealing Hundreds in Merchandise from Local Stores

On November 8, deputies responded to a reported theft at a local store involving Paulaina L. Nechay, 34, of Halethorpe, Maryland. Nechay was accused of taking a kitchen appliance and clothing valued at about $600.

A few days later, DFC Younts located her vehicle at a motel in Edgewood and spoke with her. Nechay told deputies she had taken $500 to $600 in merchandise daily from various Maryland retail stores and sold the items at gas stations. She was arrested and taken to the Harford County Detention Center. She was later released on a $3,000 unsecured bond. The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation…
