Quick action by firefighters contains weekend house fire in Essex

ESSEX, MD—Baltimore County fire crews successfully contained a residential fire on Saturday morning, preventing its spread to neighboring homes and reporting no injuries.

The incident began just after 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, when fire crews were dispatched to a residential fire in the unit block of Four Winds Way in Essex. Upon arrival, initial units reported seeing heavy smoke showing from the structure.

Engine 7 and 71 from the Essex station arrived quickly and immediately began working to extinguish the blaze. They were rapidly supported by Engine and Truck 15 from Eastview, which assisted with containment while simultaneously commencing search and rescue and ventilation efforts.
