MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A Baltimore man has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for his role in a large drug-trafficking operation that moved fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine through Berkeley and Jefferson counties, federal prosecutors announced.
Charles Delroy Singletary, 45, received an 84-month sentence after admitting to working within the network and helping ensure customers received their drugs, according to U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey. Prosecutors said Singletary fled after the indictment was returned in January 2024 and remained a fugitive for 18 months, using multiple aliases before he was caught.
Singletary was among 82 people charged in the sweeping investigation, including ringleader Gary Brown Jr., who was sentenced in May 2025 to 327 months in federal prison. All 82 defendants have been convicted, and 81 – including Singletary – have now been sentenced…
