BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A new report from Baltimore City Inspector General Isabel Mercedes Cumming is raising questions about the city’s spending on overtime payments for staff at homeless shelters.
The report highlighted that one staffer charged the city for 257 hours of overtime in a single month in 2023, followed by 144 hours the next month and 110 hours the month after. Over three years, the Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services (MOHS) paid staffers $744,000 in overtime.
