Baltimore man sentenced to eight years in federal prison for illegal gun possession

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A Baltimore man with a prior federal gun conviction has been sentenced to a total of eight years in federal prison after being found guilty of illegally possessing a gun and ammunition during a 2023 traffic stop.

U.S. District Judge Adam B. Abelson on Tuesday sentenced Jermaine Porter, 35, to six years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon.
