BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — A 51-year-old Baltimore man, whom officials described as a leader of a fentanyl trafficking operation, pleaded guilty Thursday to federal drug charges, netting him a 10-year sentence.
The probe surrounding Kennard Joyner also resulted in a June search of a stash house, where law enforcement found nearly two kilograms of a “fentanyl mixture,” according to his plea agreement. Joyner’s defense attorney, William Purpura Jr., did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Drug Enforcement Administration agents began the investigation that led to Joyner’s arrest last December, after an undercover agent received a tip about a drug money pickup in Arbutus.
