Dec. 22 (UPI) — A Maryland woman bought the first 10 lottery tickets from a fresh-unwrapped pack of scratch-offs and the strategy earned her a $100,000 prize.
The Randallstown woman told Maryland Lottery officials her usual strategy is to buy tickets that are among the first 10 in a pack, so she decided to buy all 10 tickets from a new roll of Red 5’s Doubler tickets at the Pantry One grocery store on Old Court Road in Randallstown.
She immediately took her tickets to the store’s scanner and discovered one was a winner, but the scanner did not tell her the amount.
The winner handed her ticket over to the store’s clerk, who revealed it was a $100,000 winner…
