EAST RIVERDALE, Md. — Two drivers were under arrest on Saturday after a wreck on I-295 sent a U.S. Park Police officer to the hospital Saturday morning.
The officer was investigating a broken-down car on the Route 410 ramp on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway when the officer was hit by a driver at around 3:20 a.m. Both the driver of the broken-down car and the driver who hit the officer were under arrest for what USPP suspects was “impaired driving.
Carried to the hospital by a USPP medevac helicopter, the injured officer’s condition was described as “non-life-threatening” by colleagues, the federal law enforcement agency saying Saturday morning that they expect their officer will be released from the hospital the same day…
