Beloved Maryland Pizza Staple Has Only One Location Still Open

Many Marylanders have thought that Pizza Oven has been long gone, but that’s not true. Once a regional staple with multiple locations from Montgomery County all the way out to Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Pizza Oven never fully disappeared. Today, one location is still quietly serving in Riverdale, Maryland (Prince George’s County), carrying decades of history.

Mr. 8 That made the drive out to Riverdale once he heard that the landmark location was still active under new management. Mr. 8 That rates every restaurant using two simple categories: price and taste, each scored on a scale of 1-5. Add the two scores together, and if a restaurant reaches a total of 8 or higher, it officially “8 that.”
