The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has released additional information regarding a fatal collision that occurred on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 on Lockwood Drive near Burnt Mills Ave that resulted in the death of 15-year-old Tayeba Rezaie, of Pasadena, MD.
According to MCPD, “At approximately 11:19 a.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a collision between two vehicles.
The investigation has revealed that a white Lexus GS350 was traveling southbound on Lockwood Drive, approaching Northwest Drive. Witnesses reported that the Lexus overtook a RideOn Flash Bus before reaching the intersection at Northwest Drive. Upon entering the intersection of Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive, the driver of the Lexus veered left to avoid colliding with a Toyota Corolla, which was headed eastbound through the intersection on Northwest Drive in an easterly direction.
