A 19-year-old attempted murder defendant charged with shooting at a man during a dispute over a woman will stand trial in early May after rejecting a plea offer during a Jan. 23 reception court hearing.
Bredin Duran-Duban of Baltimore City is charged with attempted murder, assault and four gun violations for the attack, which unfolded on the 3100 block of McElderry Street on the afternoon of Aug. 20, 2024. He was arrested over a year later on Sept. 8, 2025, after the victim notified police he recognized his assailant in the area of the 400 block of N. Highland Avenue.
Charging documents state Duran-Duban confessed to the shooting upon his arrest, noting he “felt disrespected” by the victim, and that the two had been embroiled in a “dispute over a woman they were both dating.”…
