Joseph Harrell, 33, was pronounced dead by corrections officers on Monday night following what was only described by investigators as “an altercation with another inmate in front of the library.”
According to state police, at around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 26, homicide detectives were contacted by investigators from the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Internal Investigative Unit about an inmate death.
