» Judge Convicts Suspect on Murder Charges Downgraded to Manslaughter

Following a three-day bench trial, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Michael A. DiPietro found 44-year-old Riccardo Demond King guilty of manslaughter and six gun violations on Feb. 3.

Defense attorney Donald Wright represented King, against a manslaughter charge that was downgraded from first-degree murder. King’s gun convictions included firearm use in the commission of a felony violent crime, illegal possession of ammunition, and two loaded handgun offenses. Judge DiPietro did not render a verdict on the charge of illegal firearm possession.
