Man turns himself in after allegedly stabbing, killing his wife in Ellicott City

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man turned himself in to the Howard County Police Department on Sunday in connection with the deadly stabbing of a woman.

According to police, 53-year-old Alexander Stephenson was wanted for allegedly stabbing and killing his wife, 47-year-old Amethyst Stephenson.

Police responded at 8:13 a.m. to reports of a stabbing at a home in the 3400 block of Huntsmans Run in Ellicott City. There, Amethyst was pronounced dead, and Alexander had run from the scene before officers arrived.
