Deputies with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in Huntington that was speeding on Route 4 near Ponds Wood Road, setting off a dangerous series of events that led to charges for the driver and a woman who tried to get him to slow down.
Glen Burnie resident Jeffrey Paul Voiers was clocked going more than 90 mph as he attempted to evade deputies, who were forced to call off the pursuit, according to officials.
The vehicle was later spotted traveling eastbound on Route 231 in Prince Frederick, driving into oncoming traffic, deputies said. It entered a traffic circle in the wrong direction before continuing onto Calvert Hill Road, where it reached a dead end and became disabled…
