COLLEGE PARK, Md. — A recent ranking conducted by Time placed three Maryland schools among the top 500 universities in the world in 2026. The University of Maryland is quite popular among Maryland students, but it’s not the only school that ranks highly across the state.
The University of Maryland, Baltimore, came in at No. 436 on Time’s list, while the University of Maryland, College Park, was ranked at No. 95. Perhaps the most impressive ranking is Johns Hopkins University, which Time ranked in the 12th position out of 500 top schools.
